Kathmandu, 28th February 2020 - DPNet-Nepal, in collaboration with Sphere Nepal, successfully organized a three-day Province Level Sphere Training from 26th to 28th February 2020. The training, facilitated by Sphere Training of Trainers (ToT) graduates Mr. Bishnu Prasad Timilsina, Ms. Luna Khadka, and Ms. Shubha Kamana Mandal, saw the participation of 28 individuals from various organizations representing eight districts of Province-2.
Kathmandu, 13th February 2020 - A Five-day Sphere Training of Trainers (ToT) was successfully organized by DPNet-Nepal in collaboration with Sphere Nepal and Sphere Geneva from 9th to 13th February 2020. The training, facilitated by Mr. Subhashis Roy as the Lead Facilitator received valuable contributions from Mr. Raju Thapa, General Secretary of DPNet-Nepal, Dr. Eba Pasha, co-writer of the Sphere Handbook, and Mr. Tristan Hale, Learning and Training Manager from Sphere Geneva. Mr. Anil Pokhrel, Executive Chief of the National Disaster Risk Management Authority, also took part in the event and encouraged the participants. A total of 21 participants, comprising 8 females, 13 males, and one participant from Indonesia, represented various organizations.
Kirtipur, 22nd January 2020 - DPNet-Nepal and Kirtipur Municipality jointly organized a two-day training on emergency response and contingency planning in Kirtipur on 21st and 22nd January 2020. The training saw the participation of 27 individuals, including ward chairpersons, local disaster management committee members, and stakeholders, with 14 female participants, 2 Dalit participants, and 17 Janajati participants.

Kathmandu, Nepal - On December 1, 2019, DPNet-Nepal, in collaboration with Sarokar Foundation and other like-minded organizations, organized a comprehensive fire safety sensitization and simulation exercise specifically tailored for deaf individuals. This initiative was undertaken to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, embracing this year's theme, "The Future is Accessible."
